Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints under the ANAM initiative has been touching lives through increased access to water, sanitation, and hygiene in the Asutifi North District of the Ahafo region of Ghana since 2021.
To date, over five thousand individuals from schools and healthcare facilities in remote communities have benefited from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints-funded water and sanitation project.
The grant from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints strategically targets crucial areas of need, particularly focusing on improving water, sanitation, and hygiene services in hard-to-reach rural communities, schools, and healthcare facilities.
Notably, the initiative has resulted in touching testimonials across the district, including those from healthcare professionals, underscoring its profound impact on hard-to-reach areas
"By God's grace, since the new toilet facility was constructed, it has helped in so many ways. We no longer queue to access the toilet; male and female patients now have their own separate toilet units; nurses have their separate toilet unit as well. The new facility has a bathing area for new mothers - they do not bathe outside anymore and be exposed to the public," - Jennifer Mensah.
