Abstract

This document describes the process of developing a joint advocacy strategy for the Watershed – Empowering Citizens Programme (2016-2020) and Water Alliance International (WAI) WASH SDG Programme (2017-2022) in Bangladesh. The joint strategy consists of 5 documents covering the following issues:

  1. More and equitable WASH budget allocation
  2. Approval of a National Strategy for Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM)
  3. Finalisation of Water Rules and functioning of local level IWRM Committees
  4. Update of National Strategy for Water Supply and Sanitation align with SDG 6
  5. Update of Pro-Poor Strategy for Water and Sanitation Sector in Bangladesh
