Abstract

The Titukulane Project in Malawi seeks to improve women's, men's, girls' and boys' use of safe water and sanitation at home through concerted systems and governance learning, community-to-district level systems strengthening and infrastructure investments. This presentation describes the findings of the initial year that focussed on developing a systems approach to rural water: what actors and factors contributed to creating systems-focused learning and what are the critical success factors.

Presentation by Boyce Nyirenda, WASH Programme Manager, WaterAid, Titukulane Project and Kyla Gregoire, CARE USA Water+ Advisor, shared at the All Systems Go Africa symposium 19-21 October 2022.

  • Under thematic area 5: Systems strengthening in fragile contexts: lessons learned through practice
