Abstract | The All Systems Go Africa symposium started on Wednesday 19 October 2022 with a short opening ceremony and words of welcome by the Honourable Cecilia Abena Dapaah, Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources of the Republic of Ghana. This was followed by a keynote address by His Excellency Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice-president of the Republic of Ghana. A high-level dialogue on the challenges of strengthening WASH systems in Africa was kicked off with an overview presentation on the state of drinking water sanitation and hygiene in Africa provided by Juste Nansi, Director of IRC's Africa Regional Programme.
