In Uganda, World Water Day 2017 was marked with a colourful event at Bugema University.

Officiating at the celebrations, Uganda's Minister of Water and Environment, Sam Cheptoris urged participants to change their attitudes and start loving the environment. He said, "Man is a liability to the environment. Whenever we see green we think of replacing it with concrete. If we were not here, the world would be so beautiful. Nature would be happy to see us gone. We need to change our attitude and start loving the environment." Highlights of the day are captured in the short video below
