|A three year initiative led by IRC for improving the effectiveness on hygiene promotion and community empowerment in a few selected Dutch WASH Alliance local partner projects in Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Ghana and Uganda.

The Research-based Learning and Community-based Monitoring on Hygiene Promotion and Community Empowerment in WASH is a three-year (2013-2015) initiative facilitated by IRC, which aims at improving the effectiveness of selected Dutch WASH Alliance (DWA) local partners’ interventions on hygiene promotion and community empowerment. In Ethiopia and Bangladesh, the focus is on hygiene promotion effectiveness, while in Ghana and Uganda the focus is on community empowerment. The project also includes the launching of community based monitoring.
