Abstract

Rural water supply and sanitation department is the nodal agency responsible for planning, designing and implementation of water supply and sanitation facilities in rural areas of Andhra Pradesh, India. The rural water supply programmes are implemented through single village schemes (SVS), multi-village schemes (MVS) and hand pumps with groundwater and surface water as source [authors abstract].
