| Abstract | This manual is based on the 'Education for Development' approach to learning which aims to build global citizenship.. It follows the methodology, described in 'Education for development : a teacher's resource for global which it translates to the Croatian situation. The manual aims to get teacher training students and starting teachers aquainted with the principles of Education for Development and their implementation in regular classes.The manual deals with Interdepence; Knowing others and respecting differences; Social justice; Conflict and conflict resolution; and Change and the future. Each chapter first explains why teaching about the subject is important, gives some key concepts and the aims and objectives. It gives examples of practical classroom activities that can be integrated into the existing curriculum. |
