Abstract

This session examines how the water supply sector in Indonesia is coping with the impacts of the unprecedented economic crisis in Indonesia. One speaker considers its impact on the private sector in Jakarta, another looks at the Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAMs) (local government water supply companies) rescue program and the role of PERPAMSI (an association of water companies), and the last speaker describes the response of an individual PDAM (Kotamadya Surakata).
