Abstract

Quality control manual for the India Mark II, India Mark III, Extra Deepwell, Suction, and TARA Direct Action hand pumps. The first volume starts with water quality criteria and types of hand pumps. Most attention is given to quality inspection procedures during manufacturing, installation, maintenance, and repair. There is a small chapter on common defects in hand pumps as well as a chapter dealing with the Kardex recording system for installation and repair of hand pumps. The second volume contains technical drawings for all the hand pumps listed above and the equipment needed for repair and regular maintenance. This manual is intended for use by a very wide audience from state level engineers to installation and stores personnel.
